These past few months have shown us the importance of taking care of ourselves and the places where we live. Luckily, previous to the pandemic, we were shifting away from ornamental gardening to planting medicinal plants like calendula flowers, lemon grass, and other aromatic herbs. Over the years my mom, the founder of Staccarto, has been developing her own homemade salves. She intended to treat the sensitive, rashy skin issues that curse our family. This venture has grown into a line of natural skin care products, using the organic herbs grown in her garden.

For years we have given these herbal salves and creams to our friends and family. People regularly asked if these items were for sale in the Staccarto shop. We are now preparing our first batch of our homemade salves and balms for our online store. They are made our own calendula blooms and natural ingredients like sweet almond oil, coconut oil, and beeswax. These products are soothing and healing for those with dry or irritated skin and can even be used to heal a sunburn.
